I've been into the scanning hobby for over 40 years and I have seen a dud scanner or two, that's to be expected. I've been driving and buying cars for over 40 years and I have seen more duds and mechanical problems than I care to remember, but that's to be expected as well. I think we see a mish-mash here of legitimate complaints, exaggerated diatribes, and outright hateful sabotage when it comes to reviewing either brand of scanner. Myself, I own Whistler and Uniden and Radio Shack products and I don't really care who makes my scanner as long as it works and performs as advertised. It's a sad state of affairs when someone goes into a review document and alters votes or accolades. (Google Performance Doc) I wonder if they hang out in Ford or Chevy forums and do the same thing. Shameful.

When someone comes onto these forums looking for comments about a particular radio that they are planning to buy, it would be nice if they had a good/bad legitimate comment to read instead of negative hyperbole bordering on verbal assault from a hateful poster who has an obvious agenda.
