Question :
I have received a BC340CRS Scanner as a Christmas gift. Our local Fire/EMS, Police departments recently switched to a new radio system with new frequencies. Some of the new frequencies have a 4 digit decimal not ending in a zero. An example of one is 453.4875. My new BC340CRS only goes out to 3 decimal places. The only codes that I can program in and receive transmissions on are ones that the 4th decimal place is a zero. My question is will I have to return this scanner and buy a different Uniden scanner that has the ability to program a 4 decimal code? Or is there a way that the 4th decimal can be programmed into my new BC350CRS. I see that th BCT8 scanner has the ability to enter a 4 digit decimal..... I just wanted to upgrade my scanning capabilities since our local Fire/EMS services have upgraded their radios. I would greatly appreciate any help you can give me.
