Measured the current draw at different bightness and LED colors on the 396XT. Here's my findings
With lamp off and battery saver turned off while sitting on one conventional channel the current draw with no LEDs on is 157mA while no signal is being received
On the same conventional VHF channel, now we turn on the LED and measure the current:
High Med Low
Blue 197mA 180mA 172mA
Red 195mA 182mA 171mA
Mag. 220mA 196mA 177mA
Green 200mA 180mA 170mA
Cyan 220mA 195mA 176mA
Yelw 220mA 197mA 177mA
Whte 250mA 208mA 183mA
On bright LED setting, there's more than a 50mA difference from red vs. white.
What surprised me was red draws as much current as blue.
