Exclamation Belkin F5U109 USB to serial adapter

I have a Uniden BCD396T and 1 serial port that a UPS is hooked too...

I have a USB to Serial adapter that I would like to use in WIndows 7 x64 but Belkin does not have hany drivers for x64 anything....

Anyone get this working in vista/windows 7 x64 yet? If not what cable do you use and where do I get one?

Most Belkin cables I've seen use the PL2303 chip set. You can download those drivers directly from Prolific at http://www.prolific.com.tw/support/f...ler_v10626.zip

If your cable does not use that chip set, the above driver won't work.

My uniden Serial adapter wouldnt work with vista at all. I installed windows 7 64x and it worked right away, didnt have to install drivers or anything it found it on its own. I think it is the PL2303 chip set also

The device does work in windows 7 (32bit & 64 bit drivers, just not with belkin's drivers.
See this site for details: How to use a Belkin F5U409/F5U409-CU USB To PDA Serial Converter in Visa/Windows 7 64bit & Mac OSX 10 ClearChain

The only good USB to Serial adapter I have found is from U.S. Converters. I have been using the PRO version with Windows 7 64-bit for several months now without any problems. Highly recommended.
