I'm not saying that you couldn't do such an update yourself...but it would require a fair amount of duct taping.

just as a follow up to Jays post... why didnt you include provoice, TRBO, opensky, D-star, and everything else thats not available on a trunking scanner? (joking)

We'll release a blog entry, hopefully by end-of-day today with lots of pretty screen shots, a more comprehensive list of the changes, as well as pricing.

Timeline for release is Mid-August.

No TDMA (requires new hardware).

To clarify, the updates are free. The upgrade (major, major feature additions) is what will have a price tag attached.

(Actually, even with the update, you get some pretty significant features additions.)

And from the video it looks like there are some things no scanner has had before....very nice!
