cross talk ,, bleed over

On both my BCD996XT and BCD396XT, I am getting cross talk from other talk groups. It is not a once in a while thing, it is happening a lot.
The system I listen to is Montgomery County Maryland Public safety.
It happens when scanning and when locked on a talk group.
Am I alone here or is this happening to you to?
Any thoughts on what may it be may be?

Check your endcode setting.

It is probably hung on a voice channel. As DDan said, try enabling the encode settings which will make the scanner recognize the terminator data unit. Change it to Analog+Digital.

Ok, here is the scoop, I have had digital scanners for years and I have never set the end codes to anything other than ignore. I have never had cross talk like this before.
That being said, I set the End code on the 996xt to ANALOG+DIGITAL and left the 396xt to ignore.
DDan, you hit it dead on the head. the base no longer has the cross talk and the portable still thinks its broken. (I will reset the 396)
