Default Home Patrol 1

Does anyone one why that the home patrol would get feedback on the speakers like it has a mic and its to close to the speaker!! how to fix this problem??

Default Speaker On Home Partol Scanner

Does anyone know how to fix the speaker or Vol. problem on the home patrol scanner when you turn up the vol. and when the freq. is active it squeals or hums like feedback and it only at half way up on the vol. didnt do it when first got it about year ago???

Mine HP1 does the same thing from time to time. I fix mine by applying pressure to the plastic around the speaker area until it stops making that feedback noise. I don’t apply a lot of pressure right on the speaker area just on the solid silver area around it. I have only had to do this twice since I got it. I never really pursude
