Default BCD996XT Antenna Setup

Hey Everyone, I recently purchased the Uniden BCD996XT, I was wondering what would be a good setup for a Antenna i could setup outside that would give me the best and clearest signal, any input would be great, just getting into this hobby

I currently use an Antennacraft ST2 outside on my BCD996XT. It's picking up transmissions 60+ miles away. Not bad for the $35 I spent on it. It all depends on what kind of systems you're wanting to listen to. I primarily use the antenna to pick up the local EDACS system and VHF in the county. Great antenna though!

Yup, for a quick and money saving antenna the Antennacraft ST2 is a good choice.

Thanks for the info, I'm using my scanner to pick up Motorola systems

It should do the trick! The system I listen to 45 miles away is a Motorola and picks up nice and clear!
