Default Bearcat III Scanner... Crystal Hunt

Hi,

I've been reading some of the forums here looking for any leads on Xtals for an old Bearcat III scanner I recently got. Nostalgia has it's grip as this [model] was my first scanner that led to me getting my novice ticket.
I've found a few websites that sell them, but I'm trying to scrounge them if possible. I like to use old parts... and I'm cheap (Social Security and all)!
By any chance could anybody here help out? The particular freqs I'm looking for are:

155.040
154.830
151.310
155.685
155.655
442.125
453.5875

Thanks,
Roger Johnson

International Crystal in Oklahoma City is the only source I know of for old crystals. I got a few around the shop

Stix_N_Stones. I checked my "stash"of crystals. Sorry I don't have any your looking for.
FYI to broaden your search ,you can use 10.7IF crystals for Regency scanners in a Bearcat III by adding 100Khz to the frequency. IE: 155.040+.100=155.140.
Good luck!

I bought several crystals from Doug when he was selling on eBay. He always shipped within one postal day, and I never had a problem returning the occasional bad crystal to him. He always issued a PayPal refund the same day he received the return.

I'm going to add a few more to the list...

These first 2 are local weather. With one of these I could at least find out if this rig works (BCs are almost bullet-proof).

The bottom list are freqs I would like to have, but not a priority. Surely not something I would spend $5-$10 each for... LOL! If anybody has any of these in thier 'junk pile' please let me know.

I couldn't find a way to edit the orig post, so I just added this as a reply.

Once again... Thank You everybody for your help and input!

Yes, he has always done right by me. He recently removed all his e-bay listings because of fee increases and transferred to ecrater.com. You can also check with Tim DeLong (W9NES).

I have done business with them. The owner is Gerry, a really nice guy (I've talked with him on the phone and emailed him). His selection of crystals (number of frequencies) is limited, but he also does repairs of older scanners. I have never heard anything negative about him. If he does have any crystals you need, you needn't be concerned about buying from him.

I could use the...

155.520

Unfortunately the forum has delayed my posts til an admin looks them over (less than 5 posts) and I have no PM privileges... LOL! If you would be kind enough to PM me (hopefully that will work), I would appreciate it!

Thanks

I'd like to say Thanks to all who helped in this little project... especially those that donated the xtals. The 40 year old Electra Bearcat III also needed a minor re-capping, but other than that...

Now that it's been running a few weeks (playing with locations and antennae) I've added it to the feeds! So... if anyone would like to hear this antique and its feed of East Podunk, Iowa...

Belle Plaine Police, Fire and EMS

Thanx All
