Thank you for the giggle.

Did you bother to read any of the thread before posting the $64, 000 question?

Can you please post a link to what you are looking at. I'm looking at the following page and not seeing any reference to the new model. Thanks.

Uniden Scanners - The RadioReference Wiki
Post 133 has the links to the placeholder pages for the new models.

Post 135 has a satirical look at what they might look like.

Question Sticky Subsect

Please don't get mad at me. This is a legit question. Has Oct 16 come and gone? Did I miss an obvious message somewhere? Or is there a delay for the "new product" announcement? Sorry for the touchy subject.

Default ok, I gotta play the guessing game, too

hope I didn't miss this earlier, didn't read all the other posts. Someone mentioned wi-fi dongle, how about wi-fi, or bluetooth to connect to your smartphone, iphone, ipod for remote control, monitoring and programming.

or...maybe....an NSA approved dongle to allow monitoring of any and all systems including decryption of all encrypted comms.

It's entirely possible that this guy is the parent of four kids, or a caregiver for his parents or in-laws, or maybe he works two jobs. How about cutting him a break? I didn't read all the posts either so I can't answer his question.

That's a 996. Looks like it is the representation of one from a scanner control program based on the stuff on the right side.

As Jay says that is the display for a 996t/996XT.
There are no current online pictures of any Uniden Scanners
that have yet to be announced.
