Default Uniden DC Power cord HP-1 / 396XT share?

UPMan or someone in the know, can I use the same 12vdc power cord for both the Home Patrol and the 396xt or do I need to run separate cords? I currently have the the HP cord.
Thanks

No, different voltages. The adapters for the 396XT (ac or dc) are 6vdc output. The Home Patrol requires a 9vdc adapter.
