Thumbs up Good News: Win 97 will reband Pro 97

I have read repeatedly that the Pro 97 can not be rebanded. I am in Tooele Utah and have the Pro 97 working like a champ. Use Mot 800Mhz to select Multi-tables. Then select Extended Tables. Select 800 Mhz Rebanded and load her on up.

You are wrong, Rocktopper. The Pro-97 is not supported by Radio Shack for rebanding purposes. It will read many of the rebanded sites under UCAN, but it cannot follow all of the conversations because it is unable to receive frequencies that start with 851, 852, or 853 and have a "0" (zero) in the fourth decimal place of the frequency. You can enter all of those frequencies as conventional frequencies and scan them as conventional frequencies, but you cannot follow them while trunking.

Since UCAN rebanded we have been through this many, many times, and it still comes out the same. Sorry. You are NOT trunking at 100% with the Pro-97 on a rebanded Motorola Type II Smart Zone system!

To prove my point, see if you can receive ANY transmission from Davis County while trunking. All of their frequencies are made up of the ones described above.
