For the past three days I've been monitoring a test of an Airborne data link system. They are using FRS radios for the comms to and from the aircraft. It has been flying a racetrack pattern over/around the city. I have been able to hear one of the ground units (Rover base) from my home in Bountiful. The aircraft "should" be hearable most anywhere in the valley.
