I just found out that the guy arrested for running over officer Poff was the same guy who once rammed a WJPD car: (Interesting reading)

A Unified Police Department officer who was dragged and then run over
by a fleeing suspect’s vehicle has been released from the hospital.
Officer Neil Poff, who suffered leg and ankle injuries in Saturday’s incident,
left Salt Lake City’s University Hospital on Sunday.
In a strange twist to this story, the man Poff was chasing
for stealing that truck was the same man he arrested nearly 10 years ago
for stealing a car. Poff didn't know it, though, until he saw him.
The suspect in the incident, Marty Lee Giles, 45, of Stansbury Park,
remained in Summit County Jail on Tuesday. He was booked on suspicion
of attempted murder and was being held on $1 million cash-only bail.
For Giles, this was not the first incident involving an alleged attempt
to run over a cop. In 2002, Giles led police on a high-speed chase
in a stolen pickup.
When officers cornered him, he rammed a West Jordan police car,
according to court documents, then tried to run over the officer.

Now on SL Regional 17760: 10-33, 10-80, 10-88!!!
I believe the ramming occurred at 6200 South, Bangerter Highway.
Susp in a black Chev PU rammed a cop car, posb WV.
"10-33, He's ramming me! He's coming at me again!" Police temporarily lost him as he fled north into WVC. He abandoned the truck at 4400 S 3200 W. They have containment, news media, canines, and state helo. Susp is thought to be armed with a 22 rifle, shot out someone's window.

ATTEMPTED MURDER SENTENCE HANDED OUT
Marty Lee Giles, 38, was sentenced Monday to up to 15 years for trying to run over a West Jordan police officer while fleeing in a stolen car.
He pleaded guilty to second-degree felony counts of attempted murder and car theft. On Sept. 16, Giles stole a truck, led police on a chase and
was trapped in a cul-de-sac, where he rammed a police cruiser, then tried to run down the officer. He eluded police, but the next day an informant led officers to a home where he was arrested.
