Default Incident Management?

The past few times I've driven over to SLC from Elko, I have seen a large 1-11/2 ton truck with a utility body a d LOTS of red and amber lights on it. It says "Incident Management on it and a door seal I didn't rrecognize. One time it looked like he had someone pulled over. Is this a UHP or UDOT vehicle? Traffic control for accidents?

IMT are UDOT. They work in conjunction with UHP for accidents, breakdowns, etc. Here is a clip from KSL TV: Incident Management Team works to keep Utah freeways safe | ksl.com

California and some other states have something similar, though they don't quite have the 'Christmas Tree' lights like they do in Utah. FSP in California, Freeway Service Patrol.

Just watched that video. I hear that same guy "very southern-Texas accent" on my scanner almost every day. You can tell he's not originally from Utah....

Moved to the regular Utah forum. Please don't post normal topics in the Incident and Breaking News sub-fourm unless it really is an ongoing incident or breaking news, thanks.
