Default P25 & ucan

i was reading the SIEC 2012 report. There is a mention about P25 for UCAN. They indicated that there are two new radio system controllers (P25) which will be installed in 2013. The system will be done jointly with Salt Lake City (is that why Sandy switched over?). Are these going to be P25 phase II? Will it all be encrypted? Anyone know who is putting this together?

The report is here, if you want to try and pick more details from it:

Interesting read. I'd love to hear more details if anyone has any. Reading the report it sounds like there's more funding needs for more infrastructure before the systems can really be implemented to the end users, but looks like the backbone is coming soon.

Depends. SLCPD and Sandy will go live this summer with their new system.
