I love how they just threw this in at the very last sentence are they inferring that hams are potential spies?? What about us who just monitor? They didnt mention us-but we're out there man!

Yeah that last sentence has no relevance to the article whatsoever.

I'm willing to bet the story was much longer and the editor screwed up and removed sections without reading the entire story again.
