Default EAM heard 8992 after midnight

I logged an EAM on 8992 just after midnight, 0408 UTC. Pretty good copy in Richmond. What I copied was 4A4AOLL4MJPK3...some more... and then a sign-out that sounded like "Skystep" (?), 3x repeated.

Also, around 5533 kHz I copied something weird I don't recall hearing before. It sounded to me like a scrambled voice transmission -- like a human voice played backwards & chopped into pieces. I don't know exactly what that was. Every 10 seconds or so it would be interrupted by a pair of ring tones. It seemed to be in LSB (pitch got higher as fine tune increased in Hz).

Seems to be quite a bit of traffic based on these several posts, not listening at the moment though. I usually get stuff on 11175 and 8992, which I caught the tail end of the other day. Some time ago I heard a callsign BREWSTER, probably had nothing to do with beer !

I wonder if they're keeping a closer eye on Iran ??????

EDIT - ...or North Korea...???

The Honduras situation - with just over 600 mil folks in that country - may also be playing a small role here. Perhaps not as major as Iran or NK, but worth watching. 73 Mike

Thanks for the tip psr600md. I'm going to crank-up ol Bessie here in a little while & see if I get it tonight. I do a lot of night time utility listening, and that's the first thing really grabbing my curiosity in well over a year.

I don't see what the point is of declassifying something if all you release are blank pages.

she's simulcasting 11175, 8992, 6739 05:00z. absolutely banging in here tonight.
male voice on 11175 & 8992 05:05z. noisy signal, "this completes message of five zero characters." can't make his location in the noise. 8992 has some weird digital pulse noise in there.

4724 on now, it said 125 character message follows, never heard one that long before. Edit- They just signed off, completing 125 character message, male voice signed off saying "This is Falcon Net, waiting for inbound traffic", no one responded.
