Coast Guard crews continue to assist Mexican Navy in search

COTHEN has been active the past 2 days with comms. Rescue 1703 working this afternoon and yesterday monitored activity from Zulu 29 Sector San Diego and Juliet 33. Backup freq is 5 and 8 megs. Worth keeping an ear on.

Mostly had them on 5732 and 8912.

Logged both on Mode-S and HF receiver.

8912 is good in Indiana, I hear ALE on the frequency, the a/c is nice copy but the commsta is in the noise. Brings back memories of my Coast Guard commsta in the Aircraft communications room...
