NASA has scrubbed the launch tonight of the five suborbital sounding rockets from the Wallops Facility as part of a study of the upper level jet stream. The launch was scrubbed because of an internal radio frequency interference issue with one of the rockets. The next launch attempt is no earlier than the night of Friday, March 16.

Bummer!

A HF listener heard NASA activity on 14455 today so perhaps that might have been related to the cancellation.

You may also be able to see the launch if you live on the East Coast. Check their website for the viewing circle, time, etc.

They'll make a launch decision Sunday evening, but the way I understand it, the actual launch won't be until Monday, probably between midnight and dawn Monday morning.

I am actually staying partly updated by a local meteorologist that posts on her Facebook updates about the mission. I should be able to see it when they launch it (I have seen them launch on 2 separate occasions.) Never thought of trying to see what I could possibly pick up on the scanner but will look into giving it a try.

NASA has a Facebook page that they post the scheduled attempts on. Now scheduled for midnight-3am Sunday the 25th, IIRC.

I don't have the exact link, due to an issue with my phone not being able to log onto FB right now, but if you search FB for "NASA" and/or "National Aeronautics and Space Administration" you should be able to find their main page.
