More info and pix not shown by western media: Meteorite hits Russian Urals: Fireball explosion wreaks havoc, up to 1,200 injured. Phil Platt Bad Astronomy tweeted a video from a weather satellite that picked up the bolide's shadow on the earth.

And tonight there is news and video of a fireball seen over San Francisco. Shooting Star across San Francisco 2/15/2013 7:44PM - YouTube and February 16, 2013 — RT News line.
