Default 2009 Oceana Air Show

i just heard about the 2009 Oceana airshow scheduled for this weekend and am hoping to be able to go. we're gonna be in the williamsburg area for the next week or two and the airshow is an unexpected bonus!

i've done a search thru the RR forum messages and have found a bit of information and i do have the RR data for the NAS listed under virginia beach. i also have this list of frequency data on Oceana NAS as well as the Monitoring Times 2009 air show guide.

does anyone has a list of confirmed show frequencies they'd be willing to share? any general tips on attending this particular air show? where the best views are? parking? how far of a walk from the parking area? i have the do's and don'ts from the airshow website.

thanks in advance.

Rich... I live near the base and see the Angels go over my house during practice and the show.. From past scanning of the shows I can tell you the tower freq's are good.. Police 1 & 2 are always active, but have NEVER heard traffic on Police 3. Hope this helps you.

Not sure... You might want to put in the Va Beach system since they will have units there also (EMS). Also I meant to write that 127.0750 is the same as 360.2000, but 127.0750 comes in much clearer. Enjoy your trip!

They were flying Wednesday, for position and landmarks. Was going to give you the freq. I logged, but the file reports only one channel used. Sorry
Hopefully the weather will be better than today.
The air show web site states they do allow scanners.

Have fun and usually there are a lot of people
