Default Fairfax Co Services

Re-banding retune under way this week. They are doing two frequencies a night.
I'm pretty sure it's the Services system they are re-tuning. The P25 and PS systems are already below 862 MHz. I cannot monitor FFX from my location.

So these are the Public Safety and the P25 systems, right?

When they move to new frequencies, do you know (or can/will you say) if the talkgroups will also change?

Can you share the new frequencies for the two systems?

Many thanks!

I don't know the new freqs, but any frequency below FCC ch 120 (853.9875) is moving to above 854.000.. That's 6 for the Public Safety side and 3 for the P25 side.

FCC ULS page here >>> ULS License - PubSafty/SpecEmer/PubSaftyNtlPlan,806-817/851-862MHz,Trunked License - KNIH412 - FAIRFAX, COUNTY OF - Frequencies Summary

854.2875
855.2625 New
855.9625

Yes and 97% of the talkgroups will use the same hex codes, you will have to convert to the new decimal codes for P25 systems.

The Motorola techs are busy now. Mentioned a new channel 12. Running UT I see two frequencies that weren't there yesterday 857.0125 and 858.6125. I haven't yet determined for sure if any freqs were removed but so far today I haven't logged any hits on 853.4875 and 853.9125.
