PWC - small town police departments

Do the towns with their own police depts use alternate freqs for communications, ie Dumfries, Haymarket....

I know they do use the PW TRS on occasion but you don't seem to hear enough traffic from them to have that be all they use. Any thoughts?

No, I don't think they have any "alternate" frequencies for communication - I believe everything is on the trunked system. You probably don't hear much because they don't talk a lot.

Dumfries is a small town, I guess they could just yell across the street to each other......
