Loudoun, as of right now, is X2 and is monitorable with non-beta firmware.

Don't get me wrong, I'm excited about the update.

No need to wait for Phase II. The DSP 1.2 upgrade made a big difference tonight. Very pleased.

What does GRE mean when by Project 25 Phase II, 4 slot TDMA voice is not supported?

Lab - check the full thread. Basically a type of Phase 2 that is in the specs but not in the field.

I don't agree with the comment above about it being in the spec...

The current P25 Phase II standards effort focuses on 2-slot TDMA which provides two voice traffic channels in a 12.5 kHz allocation.

At this time, there is no P25 standard for 4-slot yet. (Not to be confused with 4-slot TDMA in the TETRA standard.)

I paraphrased, my point was that it was already mentioned in the main thread.

The P25 spec's description of the identifier update message does list a 4-slot channel type.

Then I stand corrected... in the spec, but not part of any standard yet.

As you can per the title itself, it's for the PSR-800. That's not the same as the Pro106.

Just updated mine today... seems to be much clearer audio than ever before!

Given that this is BETA firmware so far, hopefully they'll have the kinks worked out and a release version soon!

There is no question or vague reply needed

This does not. You cannot download firmware updates for other scanners and force them in to a different scanner.

No one answered him so I thought I would. I didn't think most would actually require an answer but in case some did.

You can say that again -- DSP 1.2 is awesome and made a huge difference.
