Here are some missing tones:

159.1350 [167.9]
159.0000 [127.3]
154.3250 [114.8]
452.9750 [103.5] (I believe they also use another one for an alternate channel--it may be 167.9)

Another good media frequency is Metro Traffic on 455.9125 [141.3].

Fairfax and Alexandria are on trunked systems. So is DC.

Yes, but they do (Fairfax and DC - Not Alex City) simulcast fire dispatch on conventional frequencies.

Those first 2 are nationwide Call 1 and Call 2 frequencies; however, the users can (and do) vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. 73s Mike

Thanks,
I bought two scanners, Radio Shack, and I'm now trying to listen to the local police on this scanner. I hope your info helps.

Thanks again,

Delete the 460.575 frequency for Fairfax County Fire and Rescue. They no longer broadcast on that frequency. They can only be monitoried on their digital trunk system now.

I notice that you have the VSP vehicle repeater frequency. Maybe I am lacking some understanding of them, but what good are repeater frequencies as far as monitoring them on a scanner? Are you able to hear traffic that you wouldn't normally be able to hear on the main frequency?
