This post http://forums.radioreference.com/vi.../326725-shenandoah-valley-electric-co-op.html got me looking at 217 - 220 mhz in my area. I've found a strong MPT1327 CC on 217.53125 and using Unitrunker and SDRTrunk have the following info - site 16569 (40B9) with 3 voice freqs 217.60625 (LCN 49), 217.71875 (LCN 58) 217.79375 (LCN 64). The site shows 2 peers, 4089 and 4099 which are part of this network Rappahannock Electric Cooperative Trunking System, Multiple, Virginia - Scanner Frequencies From the attached graphic (sorry for the low quality) of the Virginia Electric Utilities MPT1327 network I'm guessing the 217.53125 transmitter is near Boyce. It appears to be Shenandoah Valley Electric Coop. In the post mentioned above 217.8425 should be 217.84375, 217.9550 and 217.9565 should be 217.95625 and 218.7800 should be 218.78125 (I forgot about 6.25 spacing). They are not part of site 40B9.

CVEC has offices in Arrington, Palmyra and Appomattox. Not sure how far away from those sites they operate but yes, they have a 220 MHz MPT-1327 system and use Simoco equipment.

Thanks !!! I assumed CVEC had a larger service area. I had only ever seen them up in Nelson County. (I am in Amherst County.)

I feel sorry for them. I dealt with Simoco mobiles and portables several years ago. VERY DIFFERENT operational scheme from what is the Norm in North America.

Yeah, they're not too wild about them either! The shop I work for had nothing to do with selling or installing that system but we've been helping with recent mobile installations. Very different is a good way of describing them.
