Coast Guard Searching for Swimmer

Last night there was a report of a lost swimmer up by Ft. Story. Search was called off later that evening, but resumed today. I was able to hear the CG on Marine 22A talking with VBFD Fireboat yesterday. Today I hear nothing even with the CG helicopters doing search patterns.

Obviously I am not monitoring the correct set of frequencies.

Any suggestions?

I would think the CG is using their P25 LMR channels for this SAR case. If you don't know which ones are in use in Sector Hampton Roads would enter all of them to find out.

22A is for broadcasts only and definitely the wrong frequency for your interest. I would try
FM: 156.8, 157.15, 157.075, 157.125, 157.175
P25: 162.05, 162.325, 165.3125
AM:
237.900 - Secondary Air Ops
345.000 - Primary Air Ops
383.900 - Primary Air to Ground Ops
282.000 - Secondary Air to Ground Ops
326.150 - Primary Ground Ops
379.050 - Secondary Ground Ops .

Just curious... what frequencies did you find them on?

They were using channel 16 and 22 talking with Va. Beach Fire. USCG Net 121 is/was the most active. Communication has diminished in the last several hours.
