Default Problems getting freqs to work with scanner. (Fauquier)

I don't know if I have the correct freqs or in the right order to listen to the county radios. Right now I got the pager band running and can hear the lower paging freq only (494.43750). I had all the 800 freqs in to my Radioshack pro2067 on MO for the fauquier county system but I would get very random traffic like it was not trunking or I would hear too much of the data channel and it would stop scanning.

Above is a run down on the radio I have..

The Manual...
Freq/Bank
867.7000 00
867.8500 01
867.9250* 02
868.4500 03
868.5500* 04
868.7125* 05
868.9750 06

a post on www.thewatchdesk.com quotes these freqs
867.4375
867.7000
867.8500
867.9250
868.4500
868.5500

822.4375
822.7000
822.8500
822.9250
823.4500
823.5500

I understand we are on a MO II with SmartZone so I programmed it with MO and no subfleets as that is a MO I system feature. The freqs from the watch desk are not spitting out any data or voice communications however like I said I get the data feed from the seven previous freqs. Anyone got any suggestions? If you got the freqs in the same type of scanner and got the umbilical cable I would love to meet up and do a copy system to system chances are that no one does but its always a good thing to ask. Above all I am praying I don't have to go spend 400 bucks on a new scanner. -Thanks

Fauqier County's new trs is digital not analog, you will need a uniden bc250d with card, bc785d with card, bc296d, bc796d, rs pro96 or the new rs pro 2096 digital scanners to hear it.

If it's cheap, I'll buy it. Seriously. I'm also thinking of buying a Pro-95.

OH dear, I just remembered that I have to buy some bus and train tickets. I hope you get some good offers htdnet.

I might e-mail you with an offer in a few days. I'm sure someone else will offer more money than what I have to spare.

I think those are the correct frequencies for Fauquier County. You might be able to monitor the Fire and EMS dispatch on 494.4375. It's too bad the fire and EMS doesn't transit on VHF 154.175 any more.

Default Low Band vs High Band

I'm glad we swapped over once we work out the bugs it will be a more reliable system in the long run. There is stories of people catching the freqs as far away as NJ etc thats pretty sweet. Plus the ability to talk state wide and to just about anyone is definetly a plus. The biggest down fall of anything is usually communication. Now as for us bunch of ears out here... well we need to just upgrade the hearing aids... anyone know when the new rs scanner comes out thought it was going to be later this month.

I want one. Have fun listening to the Fauquier county TRS. Is the reception and intermodulation rejection good? I might buy this instead of the handheld 20-526.

Fauquier County never did transmit Fire/EMS on 154.175. Thats Stafford County and they still do.
