Default Help with decoding P25, audio frequently garbled

I started playing with DSDplus Fast Lane several months ago, when our sheriff's office was testing their new P25 system. They went live on Sunday, so I have more to play with but the audio quality is poor. Sometimes, I can mostly make out what is going on but other times it is pretty bad. After initially using Fast Lane for everything, I kind of like the interface of Unitrunker, so I'm sending the digital audio from Unitrunker into VAC Line 2 and then from command line type "DSDPlus.exe -i5 -o5" which takes "VAC Line 2" as the input and outputs audio on "VAC Line 3" as output. I recorded a small conversation of sheriff's traffic as an example. Despite this being an officer trying to get info on a subject, you really can't get much out of the broadcast due to poor audio quality. My can be heard at http://www.suladsnewsletter.org/images/Ron/p25/PCSO.mp3 . I'm not sure if there is anything I can do to tweak this to get better audio. My signal strength I believe is quite strong.

It's a nice software, but I've always had poor audio decode on all modes no matter what I try.

I struggled with audio quality until I realized it was a hardware issue to do with usb extender. Once I figured it out decoding using FMP24/DSD+ is amazing far superior to any other combo of software I have tried.

I am not saying your issue is h/w related but it is well worth starting at that end and eliminating both poor USB connectivity and local interference from the equation before looking at the S/W which we know works superbly if run on a solid foundation.

with the help of Mmisk we finally found my problem:
in my FMP24.scanlist if I removed the mode after frequencies, When scanning, FMP24 stop and stay on signal.

this way it didn't work:
141.1350 P25 BW=12.5 DELAY=2 INCONNU
141.2400 IDAS BW=12.5 DELAY=2 INCONNU
141.5500 IDAS BW=12.5 DELAY=2 INCONNU
142.0375 DMR BW=12.5 DELAY=2 INCONNU
142.3950 P25 BW=12.5 DELAY=2 INCONNU
142.9250 NEXEDGE48 BW=4 DELAY=2 INCONNU ran1

but this way it's work fine:
141.1350 BW=12.5 DELAY=2 unknown
141.2400 BW=12.5 DELAY=2 unknown
141.5500 BW=12.5 DELAY=2 INCONNU
142.0375 BW=12.5 DELAY=2 HQ
142.3950 BW=12.5 DELAY=2 INCONNU
142.9250 BW=4 DELAY=2 Nexedge ran1

Its strange because I follow DSD instruction in the help file. But finally its work, thanks to all for your help!
