I have a local capacity plus system in my area that I'm trying to get the frequencies and LCNs. I have successfully found LCNs 1, 3, and 5 but not 2, 4, and anything above 5 which there may or may not be any. I've used DSD+ to find these and the CAP+ system skips LCN 2 and 4 all the time with multiple days of watching. Am I missing something or is that a design maybe to keep unauthorized people off of the system as they don't know LCNs 2 and 4? It seems like the subscriber radios are skipping them as well. Does the system control the next LCN or the subscribers?

I have a few Cap+ systems here with the same problem. I've come to the conclusion that the system sometimes turns off a frequency. A casino system, I have noticed that they don't use all the frequencies during the week, and then on the weekends when it's busier, they will turn them back on. If you use DSD+, you can check if a frequency is being used by where the rest channel moves to. If it goes from 1 frequency, skips the next, then appears on the following one, chances are the skipped one is not active. But then if it goes silent for an extended length of time, you probably are missing the next frequency. These are just my observations, my explanation could be totally wrong!

Yeah. Curious thing it is. I never thought about that maybe the LCNs would be on a schedule. That could be a hard thing for me to track.

5 frequencies but I only know 3. I don't miss audio because it goes from LCN 1 to 3 to 5 (not sure if there is a 6 frequency since it skips even LCNs). I haven't followed it during the morning and not sure about if those missing LCNs are only active on a set schedule or as needed basis. Kind of an odd setup if you ask me.

the odd channel number will probably the same as the even. the rest channel will be one that is not busy. a 5 channel cap+ system will be a big sys. is it u 800 or 900? most of the time just getting closer to the tower will clear up a lot of things.

It is an arena that also has traffic for the College World Series in Omaha. It is 400 MHz band. I have no problem tracking the rest channel but it doesn't stop on LCN 2 or 4. I watch it go live from LCN 1 to 3 (channels 1-2 to 5-6). I'm starting to think LCN 2 (channels 3 and 4) and LCN 4 (channels 7 and 8) may only be active during the College World Series and major events.

The Cap+ system at Gillette Stadium often turns off a channel. It seems to be at random, but the amount of traffic on the system might play into it. So, I would think that what you are seeing is normal.

Also, a Con+ system that I monitor skips LCN doesn't use LCN 4. At least not yet. It goes 1, 2, 3, 5. So, it would seem that there is a lot of flexibility in how the systems are programmed.

Weird. Wonder why they do that. I guess I'll see if a concert changes anything. If not I'll have to wait until summer for CWS.

College World Series brings people from all over to Omaha. One of our spot light moments in the year.

Sorry. Not a sports man myself. You would probably know more than me.
