Washington DC Pro 96 vs. 106 (Audio Problem)

Hi, my pro 96 has some audio problems now. I think the sound board is bad, now it has trouble with getting any sound and is barely audible when cranked to full blast.

So, I can either trade in the pro 96 for the same model at radio shack, or upgrade to the pro 106. Will the pro 106 be an upgrade or should I play it safe and stick with the 96? Is the 106 worth the extra $$$$?

If I upgrade to the pro 106, will I have any problems monitoring the DC police/fire/ems? I would like to program it with win500 with my windows 2000 computer.

Also, someone sent me a .p96 file with the dc police custom table set correctly. Can someone send me the same file, but for win500?

I decided to trade it in for the pro 96, and this one works better (so far).
