Receiving Wash DC

Hi,

I'm visting Arlington, VA would like to monitor the District of Columbia. I brought my Uniden BC-396T and although I have programmed the radio with the correct frequencies, I'm not decoding the system. I picked "MOT" and "P25". What am I doing wrong? I have plenty of signal strength, so that's not it.

They are on 700 MHz Phase II system

Not all of the talkgroups are using Phase II. Many of them are still using phase I, as listen on a PRO-106 when there delivering at work. I do have a PRO-668 to cover Phase II.

Thanks. I don't have a Phase II capable radio, although, hill, you are saying I should have been able to still hear Phase I transmissions? I had all the correct frequencies (at least, according to Radio Reference!) programmed in.
Next time I am there I will try again!
