South King appears to be P25. North still in analog.

I think I heard some digi on 154.68000. I'll double check next time I'm there.

They were testing yesterday on Kitsap and Car to Car, on and off. Haven't heard any P25 so far today.

All of Dist 5 (Lewis Co. south to Vancouver and east to Goldendale) has been P25 digital for several weeks.
Other then a little testing, Dist 1, (oly,Tac) and Dist 2 (Seattle) are still analog.

I was wondering why all of a sudden I was no longer picking up WSP. This explains it.

With my location being in North Bend, I can only pick up the dispatch for Lewis. It's hard to dial it in.
My question is, what are the P25 settings recommended for a 396xt (filter, AGC, adjust mode and level) for that system. Or, at least, what is working for those that have a 396xt that live in or monitor Lewis / Vancouver?
Thanks in advance!

If you are in North Bend, then you should be hearing Seattle, but east and west and Tacoma east and west and maybe even Olympia.
I am surprised you are hearing Lewis.
There should be no special settings other then to a digital audio to hear any normal digital signal.

CableTech is partially correct. From a standpoint of the quality of the P25, you probably will not need to make any changes as the XT scanners are good about auto-adjusting the P25 signal. Don't forget that there was a firmware update for the XT's to help P25 receive.
HOWEVER . . .make sure you don't have your normal receive channels slaved to a CTCSS receive. If you do, they will not pass digital audio, only analog with the PL tone you have set it to. If you must use CTCSS due to any noise or interference for the analog channels at this time then I suggest you make another set of channels and slave them to just listen for P25. They will then remain silent until the switch begins. That probably is not a bad thing to do anyway. You can also turn on a alert beep for each frequency. Therefore you will now when those frequencies become active on P25 in case you are not looking at the scanner at the moment.
Just remember all of the other factors of P25. The signal needs to be strong enough to decode. It's either there decoding all voice packets completely or you will get robo-speak or nothing.

Hand made tuned antenna 60' up. I get Lewis crystal clear but only the dispatch. It is coming in at 30 to 60 error rate (not bad considering). But no mobiles.
Believe it or not, WSP Lewis is the first Digi station that I've received to even try and dial in the P25 variables. I get all of the other stations, including ground control at SeaTac. WSP N King comes in like the are being walked on most of the time. I figure with the simulcasts ,the height of my antenna, and my location, all contribute to the issue. In my mobile, sitting in the drive way, all is well.
So an error rate of 30 to 60 should be considered good?

I thought the same thing. But, looking at a topical view of a map (give or take), you'll see that it works. Let's not forget about the magic of Digi.

That's odd. I set up all my WSP banks as F7E before we knew the actual NACs for the different districts. Is your squelch set up as "selective" instead of Digital Carrier Squelch?

Thanks re 155.520
I have a GRE PSR 500 And I was wondering why I was hearing that odd grinding noise on 155.520 and not hearing anything . I switched the settings to P25 on that frequency, and I'm well, good to go..

XTS3K/ASTRO SABER have issues with f7e, iirc. the standard was finalized after the radios were in production.
WILL work on a trunked system, but NOT conventional with p25 cai. on all newer products it works as it should.
