Default Washington form

Well this form has went from dead to deader so how many people are from Washington state in this form and what do you listen to on your scanner, I use mine for police stuff and railroad. so here's everyone chance to sound off, tell us what you use your scanner for and what type of scanners, that you own. I myself have 2 going most of the time. my pro-97 and the 2051, i have 8 scanners but just use these 2 most of the time.

I've been a ham radio operator since 1984. Both ham radio and my scanner listening tends to be seasonal, but they've both been very enjoyable hobbies for the past 25 years.

I like to listen to local police/fire (snohomish county and eastside) state patrol, NOAA, Aircraft (paine field/air shows).

My scanner "collection" includes...

Bearcat 160 (my first scanner)
Regency MX-5000
Pro-34
Pro-39
Pro-43
Pro-95
Pro-2026
Pro-2006

I plan to purchase the Uniden BCD996T once it comes out... I will need something that will survive rebanding. :-)

I'll try this again. I'm in Kittitas County, and have a Uniden BCT8 scanner. I listen to Yakima Airport, Ellensburg Airport, Kittitas County Fire and emergency, Washington State Patrol, including the main channel, car to car, and eye in the sky including Yakima and Kittitas County WSP, Yakima County Upper County Sheriff, Ellensburg police, CWU police, Kittitas County Sheriff, Cle Elum Police, Dept. of Natural Resources, Ellensburg Animal Hospital, Ellensburg Public Works, Forrestry service, Department of Transportation, Washington State Parks and the Public YUtility Department. I have an indoor antenna. Its never boring, somethings always happening.

Actually, with only 6 replies, and 93 people looking at the thread, there must be a lot of people looking, but not talking, a lot like scanner folks like to listen, but not talk.

I admit to being one of the "lookers" - having lived in Gig Harbor 6 years ago I like to keep up with what's going on there with communication stuff.

Hey do you have any Ferry County info? As soon as the weather breaks, I want to go up there for vacation. WSP, DNR, USFS, County Fire, And S.O. are the stuff I like to listen to.

Default Haven't checked this site in a while...

I'm near Everett, with a Pro-97 and a BC250D, listen to Snohomish ( Everett, Lynnwood)and some Seattle, cops, railroad, fire. I have a friend in the local FD. It's a fun hobby, and I'm just getting back into it.

On the evening of April 6 two aircraft conducted air refueling operations over my house in Mountlake Terrace, WA. After establishing communications on 320.9, COUNT 91 (KC-135 58-0125) and CAPPA 35 (E-6B 162783) rendezvoused at Tatoosh. At 0230z COUNT 91 advised Seattle Center on 125.1 that he was MARSA with CAPPA 35 and the aircraft proceeded east to Moses Lake in AR 355. When fuel offload was complete, CAPPA 35 was cleared to Travis AFB, COUNT 91 to Fairchild AFB.
