I'm surprised Ketchup Co and Olympia are still sharing 154.370. Oly Fire was supposed to move off soon to their own nb channel but it hasn't happened yet.

I don't believe the data base has been updated with correct information. Could someone please do it?

I see that Kitsap County overhauled their radio system with-in the last couple years... my question is. I see Kitsap County has a trunking system for the county, it looks like just transit and schools are on it now but, why didn't public safety just move to that system?

Oly FD does now has a NB channel but it's a tactical freq used usually for structure fires or other large incidents.

A couple of theories here

The Kitsap transit 800mhz system was likely set up just for the school buses and transit. 2. Money. trunked systems = new radios .And Kitsap county is pretty big lots of agencies in the region.

And of course, if it's not broken, don't fix it. The changes they made not too long ago,are working.
Thankfully Bainbridge island fire/rescue isn't on vhf low band like they were when I arrived in 2006.

My old community went trunked twelve years ago. And it's worked very well for them. But I think they maintain their old frequencies as back up. Including the ability to community with the Georgia state patrol and other state agencies not on trunked systems

The trunked system uses 1 high site to provide limited mobile coverage. The current VHF system uses far more sites for portable grade coverage. They would have to build some sort of 800MHz system with a ton of $ites to have the same grade of service that they experience at VHF.

And they are also north of Line A for spectrum.

A couple of years ago Kitsap county did a little revamping of their frequencies. And he was wondering what the exact date was of the switch
