Default Air Cover over P-40

It appears that 260.9000 MHz is the active freq over Thurmont this weekend.

I have heard one fighter, with a maintenance issue leave the area and a second fighter brought in from Langley AFB to provide air defense security.

I am surprised, they are quite talkative this evening. Have heard the authentication codes so far.

Flight leader was calling for a tanker in about 30 minutes to 1 hr. Your might hear them when they go up to fuel up.

Call signs are Huntress (AWAC) and Harass (F-15C out of Langley AFB).

350.25 MHz also has traffic.

PS- Old, check your email on site for a message.

Huntress is NORAD ground-based controllers. There is no AWACS involved.

Just figured that out.

Teflon 03 and 04 (KC135's) are now filling the birds up.
