TG 9771 has been active all evening with some type of emergency operations communications. Folks asking the EOC for a mobile command center to be set up at some unknown location?

Enjoy

I was listening to it here in Chas too, they were wondering if the radios had underground capabilities. So thinking a mining accident. Just in Greenbrier 901 reports subjects found and uninjured. Ok, one more update, these subjects were cave explorers. There were 3 total and are now safe at Renick Fire Station.

New TG 9871..EMS-Talk. Grant County, Petersburg. Grant Memorial hospital to WVU Medcom

a few Grant county units are testing today using the Keyser tower...will verify and submit when confirmed.

Also hearing new TG 9352, sounds like testing unit to unit.. 712 and 751...RR DB ADM just added this a minute ago to the DB..Dept of Ag.

Enjoy

It's been awhile since I used ARC500 for programming and I'm not very familiar with the SIRN network. However, I believe it is a matter of using the software to connect to the RadioReference database and selecting the towers and talkgroups that are in the areas you would be traveling through. For your route, it looks to me like you would want to choose the Parkersburg, St. Mary's, Salem, and Clarksburg towers, and the WV State Police Troop 1 and Troop 4 talkgroups. There is also a bunch of Harrison County talkgroups to choose from. You should also enter the old analog state police frequencies of 42.1 and 42.26, as these might still be used in some areas.

You might also consider entering local sheriff frequencies for Wood, Ritchie, and Doddridge, since sheriff's departments in WV do a lot of the same type of road patrol and accident investigation work that the state troopers do.

Caught talkgroup 9996 and they were talking about going to Big Chimney for something, dunno who this agency(?) was. Looking at the database I think it might be a EMS/Hospital thingie since this talkgroup falls between 9993 and 9997,so I'm taking a edcumated guess :P

It was EMS 90 and EMS92. Both had state RIDs. Might have been a third guy too. I caught them in the Berkeley tower ad well.

This afternoon I caught a new one; TG 9000. I caught Jefferson Co testing on it and Harrison, Monongalia, and Mercer Co answered them. This TG was identified as "Statewide S.O.S.

I'd like to add this to the RRDB, but I can't make up my mind where to put it [under what category]. Anybody want to venture a guess as to what a good category would be to stuff 9000 Statewide SOS under?
