Vancouver WARS ETrunker Files
So, you're confused and scared when it comes to running ETrunker on the WARS?
Well, the file in this post should make it a little easier for you!
Instructions:
-download the file
-make a directory on your DOS machine that you use for trunk tracking
-copy the file into that directory
-run pkunzip on the file (pkunzip -d ecomm.zip) to restore the files
-run seed.bat to set everything up
-run start.bat to fire up the menu
-select the system you want to monitor
This is all assuming that:
-you have set up your environment variables to tell DOS where to find
the TRACKENV.TXT file (put the required line in the AUTOEXEC.BAT file)
-the TRACKENV.TXT file is setup properly for your configuration
-you have a radio with a discriminator tap connected to the computer
This file contains a copy of the current system files for each site with all of the LCN's in the proper places. Each system is in its own directory (folder). A current copy of the group, id, and patch files is included and is automagically kept current and in sync as you move from system to system.
Operating instructions:
-when you start up the menu, you will be prompted to choose the
system you want to listen to
-select the system your control channel receiver is tuned for
-monitor as you like
-when you exit, you will be prompted to update the info files
-select Y, unless you know what you are doing, this keeps all the files
in sync across all sites
-you will be returned to the main menu to select another system
DO NOT change control channels while monitoring a system, always exit ETRUNKER back to the main menu first!!! This will mess up your files otherwise.
The test function runs the SLICER.EXE program to see how your dataslicer is performing.
The cleanup function deletes all unnecessary files (do it once in a while).
Enjoy!
