From time to time I see that there's a little bit of confusion as to when to use a wiki based link versus a full URL.
It's much easier to use a wiki link (intrawiki) as it consists of nothing more than the article name surrounded by 2 square brackets - doing this makes the coding a little less prone to mistakes and it's easy to spot when an article is missing. Here's an example;
[[Northern California 851-854 MHz Frequency Assignments]]
There is an article in our location based index with this title. Declaring the link this way causes the wiki to search the entire environment for it. If it can't find it, the link will turn red. Be aware here that spelling, caps and punctuation all count. If you use a full URL to point to something
inside the wiki environment, a missing link might not turn red.
You should use a full URL when you are pointing to something
outside the wiki environment - such as pointing to an entry in our database, or pointing to a source totally outside of RR. For a good example that mixes intrawiki links and external links, edit the article below - the paragraphs have a few intrawiki links, and below that are lots of external links

If little coding tips like this are helpful, I'll throw out one or two from time to time. And don't be shy about contributing your tips, too 73 Mike
