Default MediaWiki perfect for frequency wikis

I just want to note that I found MediaWiki perfect for my own (simpler, Taiwan) frequency wiki.

Unfortunately this is largely unreadable, due I assume to the Chinese scripting. If it were in English, it might be of more interest to US scannists. I would imagine there might be a few Chinese speaking scannists here, but I would also bet they are few and far between, especially those interested in Taiwan scanning.

However, that being said, yes we have a large amount of frequency information in the wiki, and the amount is growing.

Please, if possible, post a link to an English language wiki. 73 Mike

OK, I just added a Google™ Translation link to it. Anyways, the gist is: frequencies are categories, police stations are articles.

OK. Please keep all discussions about your article on the Taiwan article; don't distribute them to other pages. It makes little sense to put comments about the Taiwan page in the Collaboration Gateway discussion area (which has been removed). On this site, there is a discussion page attached to every article.

Thanks for the contribution

Yes, I was hoping to emphasize "wikis are perfect for frequency databases".

Not entirely - unfortunately the one thing no one has done (yet) is to be able to download data directly from a wiki (without using some intermediary program such as Excel) into a scanner control program. We can do that from the databases on this site, but not from the wiki

Perhaps someday...73 Mike
