Tips and Tricks

Tip not related in the User Guide: Press and hold the light background button until hear a "beep" sound. The light will be illuminated automatically on each transmission received.

This is not true, the back light is constantly illuminated once you hear a beep. This is misleading to some and would make you think that it functions like the Pro-528 does.

I just wanted to bring this to your attention.

Just to let you know that you can change that info in the article, actually we try and incourage users to do that.

Go ahead and fix it, Ken. The wiki is a public place - just log in where it asks you for a log in/create account on the left and follow the prompts. Anyone can edit just about any article in the wiki 73 Mike

If you have your pro-97 and on manual instead of scan the trick works the light only comes on when someone is talking
