Default wiki new page for category

Well I figured out how to make a page but it is not labelled correctly.
Blue_Angels_Pensacola_NAS_Homecoming_and_Beach_Air shows
for some reason Category:Special_Events/ is stuck in the name. I don't know how to fix it. Anyone have some input on this?
Thank You

Ok I have figured it out. I deleted the old article and the new one is properly labelled and in the right spot. I can always figure these things out it just takes a little time. I think the instructions in the wiki help area are wrong though?? New Article Guidlines It says to input:
hxxp://wiki.radioreference.com/index.php/then_the_category/then_the_new_article_name

so I was typing hxxp://wiki.radioreference.com/index.php/category:Special_Events/Blue_Angels_Pensacola_NAS_Homecoming_and_Beach_Air shows
This caused the article to be named category:Special_Events/Blue_Angels_Pensacola_NAS_Homecoming_and_Beach_Air shows in a sub category

To finally make it work I had to type
hxxp://wiki.radioreference.com/index.php/then the new article name or
hxxp://wiki.radioreference.com/index.php/Blue_Angels_Pensacola_NAS_Homecoming_and_Beach_Air shows

Well atleast I know how to do it now Here it is if anyone wants to see it. Blue Angels Pensacola NAS Homecoming and Beach Airshows
I even learned how to use colors

I don't see anything in the referenced Wiki article about using a category name in the URL of a new article. Can you tell me where you are seeing this?

This is the line that threw me off:
"So for example, let's say the article on the Eton E1 receiver should be a member of our SWL Broadcast article. The URL would read:

hxxp://wiki.radioreference.com/index.php/SWL_Broadcast/Eton_E1_Review <==== New Article"

I thought SWL_Broadcast was a Category. So I thought I was suppose to include the Category when creating a new article. So that it would be associated with that category. Instead your supposed to associate with the tags at the bottom when adding a new article to a category. It was hard to understand until I started playing with it. It might need to have a short section for adding articles to categories. I could not find that anywhere in the help section.

SWL broadcast is an article, not a category. If you click on the blue text, this becomes clear.

The basic idea of a category is to gather all articles that pertain to a particular group or topic into a single place. From what I can see you associated your new article with the categories correctly. The topic of an article is never referenced as a category by itself. The last paragraph in the article describes what a category is used for, and how to write the command.

By the way, there is a much more comprehensive - and accurate - list of freqs for the Blues on the MT airshows article which is re-published (and presumably updated) every year.

best regards..Mike
