Email notification of watchlist changes

Sorry to Hijack the thread, but on the Wiki Watch, Is there a reason that the Wiki's watched do not email?? especially for those of us who edit some regularly, we could keep an eye on some of the changes being made.

I might be wrong, but I think Jay911 had a thread that might relate to what you are asking, but might not give the whole answer...I'm not sure.

Nope that was just getting the wiki to validate his address.

I want to have the Wiki email me when changes are made to Wiki's I have edited or placed on the Watch list

I might be reading this incorrectly, but this particular answer in that thread, given by Mike, seems to indicate that the notification system is RSS-based, not email-based.
