It is in the range Dunn County would have assigned to them and all the County Scan talkgroups end in 10 so I would guess it is Dunn County Scan.

It looks like UWM PD has switched over to WISCOM full time now.
TG 5001 on the Milwaukee 800 MHz site. (5002 is listed as channel 2)
Radio IDs are: 88108XX's (Dispatch is 8834800)

Can my Pro163 listen to WISCOM?
I hope Im posting this in the correct area. Ive listened for almost 40 years so im not a complete idiot when it comes to scanners, until now. I went out and bought my pro 163 assuming that the "triple trunking" was going to allow me listen to wiscom. I just cant seem to figure this out. I can program the scanner no problem (after some study). But how on earth do I get all the info I need to listen ie..talk groups and what type of system is it. What trunking set up is WISCOM? Motorola, EDACS, LTR
Is anyone out there listening on the 163, or should I return it and upgrade?
Alot of the terminology is above me, so any "WISCOM FOR DUMMMIES" type of advice is appreciated.
PS
First post, but alot of great info here. Great site

I don't believe that your scanner can receive P25 digital, so no need to go any further...it won't work with WISCOM.

Greetings again....
Just making sure, is the City of Fond Du Lac Police Department now entirely on WISCOM? I don't hear them on the FDL Sheriff feed anymore. If so, did the City Fire department also make the switch?

Milwaukee
I am using a GRE 800 and have been monitoring Wis com for 2 days while at work in Wauwatosa and the system is dead. Pick up Milwaukee trunk system and Washington County P25 just fine. Is there actually traffic or do I have a problem with the scanner?
Any and all help appreciated
Ralph

The only WISCOM traffic in the Milwaukee area at this time is the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee Police, who are on TG 5001 of the WISCOM Milwaukee 800 MHz Site. Frequencies are: 851.47500, 851.92500, 852.42500, 853.36250, and 853.86250.

That is basically a re-post of what I stated I am putting this out there for people to throw into their scanners and to narrow down more.

I am getting surveillance traffic on TG 9011 on the Milwaukee 800 site. Radio IDs are 90111XX's. My notes show this as federal govt, but I can't narrow it down any further than that. Anyone know who this might be?
TGs 9000-9999 Federal/Military
Radio ID's 9000000-9999999 Federal/Military
Broken down further:
9000000-9099999 unknown
9100000-9199999 US DOJ (ATF/DEA/FBI/USMS/ect)
9200000-9299999 US Treasury (IRS/ect)
9300000-9399999 US DHS (CBP/ICE/FPS/FEMA/TSA/USCG/USSS/ect)
9400000-9499999 USDA (USFS/ect)
9500000-9599999 US DOI (BIA/FWS/NPS/ect)

Two part question for Sheriff 1 in Waupaca Co.
1) has anyone experience digital distortion when listening recently? I am at the bottom of the county and this afternoon it seemed half of the words/transmissions had some digital distortion.
2) Does anyone have the recommended ASTRO settings for the XTS 2500/5000 line for waupaca and/or Wiscom in general. Haven't tinkered around with digital before so this is a bit new for, accepted the defaults for switching my xts2500 over to sheriff 1 as digital. Maybe my settings are causing some of the receive issue, or not, but thought I'd ask.

Curious who submitted the changes in the database for STAC1 and the RTACs?
I know the SSMG had considered changing the x1 talkgroup from TAC to CALL, and adding the redundant regional alpha designation to the RTACs, but they decided not too.
Did they change their decision? There hasn't been any updates on interop.wi.gov for a very long time, so no info there.

If you havent already gotten your answer, yes, the city fire and police are on WISCOM. I am in FDL county and came here to learn about how to monitor on the scanner I have. I have gotten some help, but it is slow going.

Just out of curiosity how did Rock County TG's end up on WISCOM or are they patched from the frequencies they are using?? Has anyone heard any traffic out any of the TG's listed on there?? I noticed all the cities and townships but no Rock Co Sheriff or Rock Co Fire. Now could it be possible that Rock Co can come aboard WISCOM and keep they're P25 frequencies?

Anybody have any idea why so many DNR talkgroups? I count 17 as of this moment.
Has anyone heard anything on them that could provide a clue?
