Does the PRO-197 auto-detect P25 or does she have to change the program? (I'm not a scanner guy)

My sister is in the area and can be a little help. My brother is a geek and I'm sure could program it, but he's in Chicago and I don't know if he gets up to WI very often.

Wow. Seems like a pretty big error to make to cause this to happen. I hope the consultant and vendor are held accountable (bet they dont).

The last time I talked to a Beloit officer he told me that Beloit was a pilot program that’s why they could not go back to analog when the county and Janesville did until the bugs were worked out . But he also said the new radios are a POS

I've listened to them and they sound terrible at times... From I was told they have a tower little over 50 feet off the ground... 20 feet higher than it was... Beloit PD is the only one coming in really good as for the rest of the county its hit and miss.. I've heard Rock Fire Central Repeater and Main Repeater come in so crappy that you hear it skipping almost what it sounds like... and Rock Co Sheriff has ALOT of dead spots still where they are barely hitting the repeater.. I hope they go back analog and narrowband.. But like I said that's something I heard and not sure if that's what they are gonna do... But seems pointless to waste our money on something they basically gave a test run on.... If it were me I would move over to WISCOM full time and pay the fees and have better interop.. But that's just me
