Milwaukee County Radio After Safety Building Fire

On July 6th, there was an electrical fire in the Milwaukee County Safety Building/Courthouse complex.

Milwaukee County courthouse closed 2 days after weekend fire

As a result, Milwaukee County Sheriff dispatch was forced to relocate to their cold backup of Waukesha County Communications. Sometime since then, the 911 calls are still coming out to WCC but dispatching is being done from the Airport, presumably where they have access to CAD. Radio use sounds like it's being done by control stations or portable radios at both locations, which leads into the following...

During the fire, the trunked system's Embassy switch lost power and/or was damaged so some radio system functionality was lost, presumably wireline access for dispatch consoles, etc. I don't know if such problems still exist two weeks after the fire. However, if the Airport has dispatch consoles and the operations are being done via RF, then it's possible the switch is still down. Again, I don't know but making a logical attempt to connect the dots.

MCSO dispatchers are identifying as "Airport" and "Waukesha" on the radio when passing information between themselves (911 calls, etc).

Milwaukee Sheriff Dispatch operations have returned back to the public safety building. All Milwaukee 911 cellular phone calls routed back to Milwaukee Sheriff, no longer to Waukesha County
