It is going to be a P25 simulcast system. I think there were some talks of building it out countywide, but I don't see that happening anytime soon.

No they from the sounds of it some channels will be encrypted. Only time will tell me to what extent.

I must say its nice of them to say we will have some encrypted channels. I hope they dont use full time encryption on all your channels

This new system went live yesterday for City of La Crosse PD and FD. Unfortunately, I do not have a digital trunking scanner, so I can not listen to it.
