Post 10 meter contacts made on Sat 3-2-13

I worked the following stations from my Radio Shack HTX-10 and a K-40 Mobile CB antenna that has been cut down to work 10 meters mobile. Here are the stations I worked on 25 watts.( ZZ2T-Brazil),( VP5H-Turks/Caicos Islands)( T01A-France)(,LP1H-Argenta) All ofthe stations were 5/9 setting in my car in my driveway at home.

10 meters is a fun band to work. I enjoy working those contacts from all over the world. Since I got the 10 meter Radio Shack htx-10 I have made over 77 contacts before this post. It is really fun to work 10 meters with just 25 watts and a K-40 CB radio antenna that is cut down for 10 meters with no VSWR.

It was a woldwide DX Contest. Everyone was on. As soon as the contest ended Sunday the bands went silent.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8320/4.5.0.81 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

On my HTX-100 during the contest Sunday. I worked stations in Argentina. Anguilla, Colombia. Bonaire, Mexico, Aruba, Brazil. & Puerto Rico while mobiling across VA on I-64. Also made contact with NH7A in Hawaii but don't think I made his log. I think he lost me while I was giving my exchange. Not bad given this solar peak has been less than impressive.LP1H made my log as well.

Hi Chris, that 10m band is fun to work when it's open, heard a lot of calling last night (5.3.2013).I just got my self a HR2600 & a Radio Shack HTX-10 10 m rigs (for the car) wanted to see which one was better of the 2, well when the HTX-10 arrived, it would not trans, maybe finals are shot. (. Anyway I have a K-40 ant (trunk mount) that I will be using, but I cannot get the swr below 3, so I am asking.. what is the total length of your whip, tip-tip, as I don't want to cut mine too short and also that is NOT an easy thing to cut.

Thanks for any help you can give to me.

Rich.
PS.. if possible can you respond also to my email add at - kd4uwd@gmail.com

during a cw contest and marginal conditions and a dipole you could easily work 100 new ones in one weekend on 10 meters.
