Old argument, more than a decade old, that that is not a good thing. With a dedicated vehicle tracking system (cellular to a monitor or central station with password-protected access) you can do the same thing.
With APRS, I can look at any convenient location and say "Ah, George is at the ballpark. that gives me three or four hours to go burgle his house while no one is home." Ooops.

Yes, there are all sorts of people doing things like this all over the internet. If your local (or higher up) PD have a computer crimes unit, they can probably tell you all sorts of things you'd never believe. Phone calls that say "Hello this is Microsoft and there's a virus on your computer..." are just the tip of the iceberg. Sad, but still true.
